Due to player welfare concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, South Africa are unfortunately not participating in this year’s Rugby Championship but remain “committed” to the competition amid talks of joining the Six Nations.

The domestic Currie Cup competition starts next weekend however so we thought we would talk a look back at some of their legendary captains of yesteryear.

There are 20 to get since the game turned professional in 1995 and some big names on the list.

Good luck, and don’t forget to tweet us your scores @TheFlankerRugby or comment with them on Facebook @theflankerrugby
